A little more about this book (and how you can help!)
Hi, friend!
First, thank you for being here.
It means more than you know that this book is in your hands.
I wrote You Can't Be Brave Until You're Scared because somewhere along the way, I think a lot of us started believing that if we had enough faith, we wouldn't feel so much fear. That anxiety was evidence of spiritual immaturity, that courage belonged to a certain kind of person, and that the goal of following Jesus was to eventually become fearless.
But after years of ministry, countless conversations with women, and my own very real experiences with fear, I've become convinced that we desperately need a better, more biblical conversation about courage.
We don't need another book telling scared people to stop being scared. We need to help them understand that God meets us in our fear, and that courage is possible right in the middle of it.
A few ways you could help
Absolutely no pressure to do ALL of these, but if this message resonates with you, here are some easy ways to spread the word!
Post a photo of the book on your Instagram feed, with a little note about why the message matters to you.
Share a few Instagram Stories! Show the book, read a favorite passage, or tell your people why you think they might need it. Tag @jessaconnolly so I can share!
Mention it in your Substack, newsletter, or podcast.
Even a quick personal recommendation makes a difference.Include it in a roundup. Fall reads, favorite books for women, books on faith and anxiety, or gift guides.
Host me on your podcast! I'd genuinely love to have a conversation with you about fear, faith, and courage.
Share it with your church or small-group leaders. We also created a six-week companion Bible study, and I would LOVE to see communities walking through this message together.
Leave an honest Amazon review once you've had a chance to read it.
Those early reviews help readers discover the book. And would you pray? More than anything, would you pray that God gets this message into the exact hands that need it, and that women who have felt disqualified by fear would begin to experience the freedom and courage available to them in Christ?
You Can't Be Brave Until You're Scared officially releases October 13, but preorders are open now!
Thank you for using the voice and influence God has given you to encourage women.
I'm grateful that we get to do this together.
With so much love,
Jess
P.S. If you need graphics, sample captions, interview information, or anything else to make sharing easier, we've got you covered! And if there's a creative way you'd like to collaborate that I haven't listed, please ask. I'm all ears - hello@jessconnolly.com
