We’ll begin shuttling everyone to the house at 9:30 AM. If you're taking an Uber or being dropped off, you can head straight to the house between 9:30 and 10:00 AM.
Come ready to write! Bring a laptop or preferred device (iPad etc.) for taking notes + writing content - during sessions, individually, and in a small group.
Light breakfasts will be provided both days, consisting of muffins, dairy-free yogurt, fruit, and gluten-free granola. Coffee, water/sparkling water, and light snacks will be provided both days.
Feel free to bring along a reusable water bottle or other snacks or beverages you’d like to enjoy throughout the day.
Lunch on Monday: Mediterranean bowls from a local restaurant, Kairos. Bowls will be gluten and dairy-free, with vegetarian options available (salad, rice, and vegetables/toppings).
We will also have snacks and charcuterie for the happy hour.
Dinner on Monday will be a spread of salads and pizza, including a gluten-free pizza option.
Lunch on Tuesday: BBQ from a local restaurant, Martins. We will have pulled pork, turkey, plus vegetables, and salads for vegetarian options.
Dinner on Tuesday: taco bar from a local restaurant, Semilla. Tacos will be gluten and dairy-free, with a vegetarian option available (salad, rice, and beans).
If your dietary restrictions or personal preferences mean you’d rather bring your own meals, you are very welcome to do so!
To give you a slower, more peaceful start to the day, we’ve replaced the Tuesday morning workout with a time of worship. On Tuesday afternoon from 1:30 to 4:00 pm, you’ll also have free time to enjoy however you’d like. We’ll be offering an optional beach walk during that time, which will replace the original workout.
Feel free to bring along anything that helps you enjoy a life-giving stroll - comfy shoes, a journal, or just yourself. You’re also welcome to relax by the pool or unwind in the hot tub at the house.
We can’t wait to share this restful time with you!

Monday Sessions
Session One | Small Group Questions
In your groups:
1. Introduce yourselves: what’s your season like?
2. Pick someone to pray for your group: for honest conversations, for the Holy Spirit to speak, for no shame, and for healing and hope to come.
3. Read Matthew 11:28-30 and as a group, ask God for fresh eyes. How does this passage make you feel? Does it feel real in your life? Are there seasons where you have experienced the light and free life?
4. Grab your copy of Tired of Being Tired, take a pen, and take the quiz on pages 59-61.
5. Share what you found in the quiz, does this track with how you’ve been feeling?
6. Pray over the person to your right, speak life over her, and ask God for more wisdom, insight, and healing as the retreat unfolds.
Session Two | Small Group Questions
In your groups:
1. How does the phrase “it will get worse if it doesn’t get better” strike you? What’s at stake if you keep going the way you are?
2. Which of the five lies shared today hits the closest to home for each of you? Go around and just share, don’t give advice - just listen.
3. Go around and individually speak truth over yourselves, what do you believe is the truth God has given you to demolish these lies and any strongholds in your life?
4. If there’s time, pray for the woman to your left.
Session Three | Reflection Questions
On your own:
1. When was the last time you talked to God about your body?
2. In what spaces do you tend to lose your own regulation?
3. What tactics and rhythms listed feel like they might be most helpful for you?
4. Spend sometime in silence, listen to God, and see what He wants to tell you about your body, your rest, your desire to live fully awake?
